Born in Kamloops and completing high school in Chilliwack Andrew went on to graduate from the University of Victoria in 2005 with a degree in Economics. In 2005 he began his career in public accounting with a Victoria area firm and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2008.
Andrew and his wife Milène moved to Kelowna in 2008 and in 2010 Andrew completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course. Working in the tax department of a regional accounting firm from 2008-2011 he expanded his knowledge and breadth of experience.
Andrew started Pitre James & Co in 2012 with the goal of creating an accounting firm that provided a more personalized approach to accounting and tax matters. His areas of practice include accounting and tax for individuals, owner-managed corporations, and trusts.
Born and raised in Victoria B.C., Milène attended the University of Victoria and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2004; Milène obtained her Chartered Accounting designation in 2011.
She began working in the audit department of Grant Thornton in Victoria BC in January 2008 and moved to Kelowna at the end of the year; subsequently she transitioned to working at a small local firm in Kelowna early in 2010.
Andrew and Milène added a new member to their family in November 2012. In the fall of 2013 Milene returned from her maternity leave to work alongside Andrew part-time while teaching for the CA School of Business simultaneously. Milène brings a strong accounting technical background to the business and enjoys working with individuals and small corporations.
